Signing Day was a week ago. Today we take a look at the recruits in the SEC that make up our 2012 All-SEC Recruit Team.
QB Matt Davis, Texas A&M
Davis made a name for himself first with his football talent and second with his Twitter account.
RB T. J. Yeldon, Alabama
Only Texas signee Johnathan Gray was ranked above Yeldon. Yeldon has ideal size at 6’2” and 205 lbs. Yeldon catches the ball well and is already enrolled.
RB Trey Williams, Texas A&M
As a senior, Williams ran for 3,890 yards on 427 carries with 48 touchdowns. That is career for most good backs. Last minute trips to Texas Tech, Arkansas, and Oklahoma State could not sway his decision as Williams stuck with his April 2011 choice of Texas A&M.
WR Dorial Green-Beckham, Missouri
DGB picked Missouri on Signing Day. The top-rated player in the country by most accounts, at 6’6” and 220 lbs, DGB figures to be a nightmare for opposing cornerbacks for at least the next three seasons.
WR Eddie Williams, Alabama
Williams is big at 6’4” and 204 lbs and there is plenty of banter regarding his college position. Will he be a wide receiver or safety? For now, it appears he will be a WR.

TE Kent Taylor, Florida Tight end gets little love in recruiting, but Taylor is the top rated tight end in the country.
OL D. J. Humphries, Florida
The Charlotte native picked Florida in September over almost every other school in the country. He is 6’5” and 265 lbs, but has room to put more weight on his frame.
OL John Theus, Georgia
Theus is 6’6” and 292 lbs and a big fan of Mark Richt. When Georgia started slowly, Theus stated he would stick with Georgia as long as Richt was the coach.
OL Avery Young, Auburn
A last minute addition to the Auburn class recruited by Auburn’s Trooper Taylor. Young is 6’6” and 273 lbs.
OL Vadal Alexander, LSU Alexander played in the 2012 Under Armour All-American Game and is already enrolled at LSU.
C Mike Matthews, Texas A&M A U.S. Army All-American and long time Aggie commit.
DE Jonathan Bullard, Florida
Like future Gator offensive lineman D.J. Humphries, Bullard is also a North Carolina native. Bullard has 16 sacks as a senior and draws comparisons to Osi Umenyiora from Rivals.com.
DT Jonathan Taylor, Georgia
Taylor is big enough at 6’4” and 315 lbs to play nose guard in Todd Grantham’s 3-4 system.
DT Nick James, Mississippi State
James is a big boy at 6’5” and 320 lbs. James passed on offers from Florida and Auburn to stay in state.
DE Dante Fowler, Jr., Florida A last minute switch from rival Florida State, Fowler has plenty of speed off the edge.
Clemons picked Georgia on Signing Day, but it took a couple of days to get the paperwork signed.
LB Josh Harvey-Clemons, Georgia
It took a while, but Harvey-Clemons finally inked with Georgia. At 6’5” he reminds many of the great edge rushers, Justin Houston and Jarvis Jones, in Athens the last couple of years.
LB Reggie Ragland, Alabama
Ragland is big, really big for a HS linebacker at 6’4” and 245lbs. Sounds like Dont’a Hightower round two to me.
LB Ryan Anderson, Alabama
Anderson is another monster at LB coming in at 6’3” and 250 lbs. Alabama coaches see him as player in the Courtney Upshaw mold.
CB DeVante Harris, Texas A&M
Harris is the top ranked cornerback heading to the SEC in 2012. Harris must get bigger if he is going to match up with NFL bound wide receivers in the SEC.
CB Brian Poole, Florida
Poole weighs in at almost 190 lbs and is part of a talented group of Gators signees on defense.
S Marcus Maye, Florida
Maye is well-thought of out of Melbourne, Florida. Another safety with excellent sixe at 6’1” and 195 lbs. He will follow in line with recent Florida stars in the secondary like Reggie Nelson, Ahmad Black, and Matt Elam.
S Landon Collins, Alabama
The top rated safety in the country landed in Tuscaloosa much to the dismay of his mom. Collins has it all with great speed, plays the ball well, and has fluid hips.
