Maybe I should have started Holy Turf’s Ultimate SEC Bucket List with required reading of everyone. Chad Gibbs went to every SEC town during the 2009 season, to a church the following Sunday, and wrote a book about it, God and Football. If you have been following Holy Turf for a while, I got to interview Chad about his experience.
God and Football is a great conversation piece if you need an “in” to talk to a friend about faith without overwhelming them all the while entertaining you with stories from every SEC stadium. Chad asks several probing questions of himself that also make you think. He surmises that “Football is a horrible God.” Simple, yet true. This is a must read book for SEC fans. Yes, must read.
