College football fans would be surprised at the support the Kentucky football team receives. The Wildcat faithful pack Commonwealth Stadium clad in their blue all the while yelling and screaming for their team.

However, opposing fans understand Big Blue Nation staunchly supports the Kentucky hoopsters too. When you visit Lexington, KY for a football weekend, you should make a point of stopping by Rupp Arena. Rupp holds 23,000 plus fans and is an enormous arena. It opened in 1976, and Rupp hosted the 1985 Final Four as underdog Villanova captured the national title. Many of us are aware Ashley Judd frequents Rupp during the college basketball season to support her Wildcats.

Rupp is located adjacent to the Hyatt Regency Lexington and the Lexington Convention Center and about a mile from the University of Kentucky campus. There is plenty to do! If you need a souvenir, there are several shops. There are some fast food restaurants in the food court too.
