Our first trip to LSU on Holy Turf’s Ultimate SEC Bucket List necessitates you enjoy one of the finest danceline’s in all of the nation. LSU’s prestigious Golden Girls first graced the football field with the Tiger Band in 1959. Six decades later they are still going strong.

Each spring tryouts are held for the upcoming season. Candidates must posses a 2.0 GPA, not asking a lot there, and be on campus or already accepted if they are beginning class the following fall. Golden Girls do receive a $1,000 scholarship and class credit for being on the danceline. The girls are weighed beginning with the first workshop and throughout the season. *Side note, we do not hold weigh-ins for staff members at Holy Turf.*

The Golden Girls are often at the top of any list that tries to ascertain the best and or most attractive danceline in the country. With that in mind, it is easy to see why men love the Golden Girls.

The LSU Golden Girls are both talented and gorgeous and watching them perform is worthy of a spot on our SEC Bucket List.
